The Suga Project Foundation

Brand / Graphic Designer

2019 - 2022

In 2019 I had a brand & graphic design role with The Suga Project Foundation, a small but impactful nonprofit focused on empowering women affected by type 2 diabetes. As the organization’s sole designer, I was responsible for developing its complete brand identity and visual presence.

Key contributions included:

  • Designing the logo, brand assets, and visual guidelines to establish a cohesive brand identity.

  • Building and maintaining the website, ensuring accessibility and clarity of mission.

  • Creating social media graphics, ads, and marketing materials to grow awareness and engagement.

  • Designing event and campaign collateral that connected the community to the foundation’s mission.

This experience was pivotal in my career—it taught me how to translate a mission-driven story into a powerful visual identity. The Suga Project existed to change the way women live with type 2 diabetes: reducing preventable complications, inspiring empowerment, and fostering long, healthy lives. Contributing to that vision through design remains one of my most meaningful early achievements.
